OTX Roundtable Meeting - April 20, 2022

On Wednesday April 20, 2022, Pax8 provided a presentation to the OTX Roundtable during the Building Quality Companies/OTX IT Forum. The presentation centered around building a profitable Azure practice.

Stephen Slattery and Carlton Martindale guided the group through the resources Pax8 can bring to the table for partners in building a practice. They walked us though the steps and training required to build and launch a successful practice.

They discussed the importance of understanding reserved instances and Azure Hybrid Licensing and the impact those have on maximizing margins are Azure Services alone. They explained the risks and rewards of purchasing through those vehicles.

Stephen and Carlton also described how the management of Azure resources can reduce cost and improve margins. This includes spinning down resources during low usage times.

Finally, they explain how, when managed correctly, MPS can incorporate Azure Services into their fixed-fee contracts with low to no-risk.
